It has been a very long day, but maybe it is the last day which is marked by so much violence. It started early in the morning. At 4am armored vehicles moved into downtown.

The third day of the cleaning process by the military left several dead and injured. Various hot spots in Bangkok are open war zones with burning tires between barbed wire and live bullets coming from soldiers and protesters.

After the first day of the crackdown several other locations in Bangkok have been new hot spots for violence. Main focus point on this day was Rama 4 which was covered by huge smoke clouds all day.

Just a weeks ago there was a feeling of a relieve after Red Shirt leaders agreed with Prime Minister Abhisits negotiation plan. But more and more demands on both sides stopped this positive compromise. The army started to seal the Red Shirt rally sites on Thursday night. Barbed wire, armored vehicles and thousands of soldiers hiding in buildings and bushes confronting the remaining Red Shirts.

The afternoon was not very tense in Bangkok. During the political discussion panel at the FCCT I saw some tweets about three explosions at BTS Saladaeng. I left the conference and headed to Silom. It was a very intense night with several deads and injured! Pics and Videofootage…

At the moment I just have one working arm/hand to write which is quite annoying, but here are some Pics and Video Footage I took today at the heavy clashes between protesters and the police! Unfortunately I got shot and broke my right arm…

My motorbike is not even 3 month in use and I already reached the 2000 km mark! I have to say: It is just great driving a motorbike in Bangkok. Its fast, cheap and convenient! You are never stuck in traffic, you can park nearly everywhere and you can even pick up a friend or scare away annoying dogs in your soi!
But I have to admit that I had some problems lately with the (for me unusual) traffic rules and the funny police officers in Bangkok…
