Silom Clashes (22. April)

silom_clashes_police

The afternoon was not very tense in Bangkok. During the political discussion panel at the FCCT I saw some tweets about three explosions at BTS Saladaeng. I left the conference and headed to Silom. It was a very intense night with several deads and injured! Pics and Videofootage…

I took a small walk at around  9pm through the main streets which seemed quite empty in comparison with yesterday. The red shirts build up a huge blockage at the west entrance of Lumpini Park a few days ago and it seems like its growing every day.

Red Shirts and Pro-Government protesters used selfmade weapons and shields.

The main intersection was covered with bright light by one of the police trucks.

The police and military cleaned up the road which was full of anti-red protesters and build up small blockages with barbed wire.

The chaos after the bomb explosions at the BTS station Sala Daeng was also spread through the street and caused a lot of damages at buildings, street signs and garden areas.

The military was mostly hidden on the Skywalk and investigating about the explosions + observing the violence between anti-red shirts and police. Some of them were patrolling at the road.

Shortly after the explosions at the BTS Station several clashes happened and atmosphere got very intense. At the end police is in control again and cracking down anti-red protesters. Here are ten minutes of my 70min Video-footage

updated video, a bit earlier behind the red lines. Some other clashes in a garage (a red shirt was attacked by several anti-reds and saved by the police who build up a line at the exit.

more pics and videos soon!

Thanks for reporting! I have a lot of friends among the protesters (red & colorless)… It is a shame they do not try to understand each other :(
    Take care!

Different people in every country take the loan from various banks, because that’s comfortable.
